16 days left~

hello hellos
i know its been a long time since we blogged
we've been kept busy on our side
to make up for it..

ta da ~

we went xita street
and as the website says
it really shines at night
and is very similar to korea
we ate at a korean restaurant
and even cut our hair at a korean salon

check out our new hair styles..

dont you think maveric looks like ben now! =P

china’s national day is on the first of october
actually, its more like their national week
we all had 1 week holiday!
yippe!

most of the days we stayed home
or rested till late afternoon before we went out

xixi, zhan jiang bin and jiang yan brought us out one day
to bei ling park of shen yang
its where the old emperor was buried

wow..
besides the many many killer lady birds
i loved the place

in fact, i love china
the people here are so friendly and helpful
REALLY

many times, we left home not knowing how to go to the destination we want
but when we approach just any one, they would always be so helpful
slowly, we learnt how to take the bus instead of always taking a taxi

taxi drivers would just stop
and ask any one on the road if they didn’t know the way
and those passer-bys would always help if they could

if there happened to be a quarrel on the bus
there would always be people to pull the two away
every one on the bus would tell them to stop quarrelling, etc
instead of just watching the good show eating pop corn

because china’s population is huge
its normal that you get stepped on in the bus
or get banged in the streets
the difference in china and singapore is
the people in singapore will ‘TSK’ very loudly
and the people in china will not even give a damn

in a way, their culture is a bit similar to japans’
very humble and careful with their speech!
it makes you feel good..
i love china =)

after we went to the park
they brought us to this mongolian restaurant with superb food
the entire restaurant was decorated with its culture
you’d wish you were here with us

we also went for a foot massage!
it’s the kind where the blind was the massager
even though it was my first time
i didn’t feel too much pain
super shioking! =D

we made friends with a cosmetics lady boss
her name is ming ming
she’s just a year older than us
but she already has a shop of her own!
wow

she brought us out shopping
afraid that we might get cheated
so nice right!!!
thats why i love china..

the temperature here is insane!!
in the mornings and nights, it can go as low as 0 degrees
when we talk, you can see the air coming out of our mouths!
but thankfully, in the afternoon, it's still at around 16 degrees
with the sun shining BRIGHT and the wind blowing STRONG
both maveric and i can wear 3 THICK layers and still feel cold
brrr..

when we first came
the day was especially long
and the night was especially short
in the mornings, when we wake up with the sun shining at our backsides
we'd jump out of bed thinking we're late for work
but it was only 4am -.-;

now, its the opposite
their 6am here is like singapore's 7.30am
their 6pm here is like singapore's 8pm
and it's only mid-autumn now!!

i'm definitely a summer person
I LOVE SINGAPORE
summer all year round
woo hoo!~

oh!
wherever we go
people would always ask us if we’re koreans
maybe it’s because of the scarves we wear
but whenever we say we’re singaporeans
they would always smile and welcome us warmly

almost everyone in china knows about singapore
and has a very good impression of it
it really makes me feel proud to be a singaporean

it’s a lot of getting used to
but now i’ve gotten used to it
i wish these 9 weeks hadn’t passed so quickly
with just 3 weeks left
we’re going to stomp the town red!!

Cheers.
